This Cookie Policy explains how Nxcart uses cookies and similar technologies on our marketing site and admin. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. Where cookies involve personal data, we handle it under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to make it work and to remember information between visits. We also use similar technologies such as local storage. We group them by purpose below.
2. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
Required for the Service to function — you can't switch these off. They keep you signed in, hold your cart, remember your store context, and protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). Examples: session and authentication cookies, the CSRF token, and an “optimise images” preference in local storage.
Functional
Remember choices you make (such as language or display preferences) to improve your experience. Disabling them may reduce convenience but not core function.
Analytics (consent-based)
Help us understand how the product and marketing site are used so we can improve them. On our marketing site we use Google Analytics; in the admin we use first-party, server-side measurement. We rely on your consent for non-essential analytics.
3. Your consent and choices
For cookies that are not strictly necessary, we rely on your consent, which is freely given and which you can withdraw at any time. You can also control cookies through your browser — block or delete them, or use private/incognito mode. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in, the cart, and checkout.
4. Cookies on merchant storefronts
Storefronts run by merchants on Nxcart may set their own cookies — including any analytics or marketing tags the merchant adds through their theme. Those are controlled by the merchant under the merchant's own cookie and privacy policy. As shopper data there is processed on the merchant's behalf, the merchant is the Data Fiduciary (see our DPA).
5. Changes
We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
